Café Momentum is a national nonprofit working to create the space for justice-involved youth to develop and live their full potential. We go where we see an opportunity to make a difference with an ever-expanding network of award-winning restaurants and culinary training facilities for youth ages 15–19. Not only do our youth learn food service industry skills, they become connected to a larger community that becomes mutually invested in their progress, their careers and their lives. Restaurants alone can’t change the juvenile justice system, but they can change a community and the futures of those who belong to them — one meal, one person, one mind at a time.
