With your support, we can help more youth return and stay in school. Our program provides comprehensive support from enrollment to post-secondary preparation to career exploration. 100% of our interns re-enroll in accredited educational programs, and 67% choose to attend Café Momentum Academy.
Café Momentum Academy provides interns with an innovative learning experience within a supportive and flexible environment that helps them balance work and school responsibilities. At the new location, we will enhance the experience by increasing staff capacity and utilizing the state-of-the-art technology and a variety of spaces for group and individual learning.
The Café Momentum Community Services Center (CSC) is currently a space that is adjacent to the restaurant, where staff provide case management, mental health support, tutoring and educational support, workforce development, prosocial activities, and more. In our new flagship location, we’re doubling our CSC drop-in hours from 20 to 40 hours per week, creating more opportunities for interns to engage and make life-changing connections. The new location will also unify our restaurant and CSC under one roof, creating a safer, more accessible environment for all our youth.
The Café Momentum Flagship is poised to become a national destination for learning and innovation in youth development and justice reform. By investing in this project, we are not only transforming the lives of young people in Dallas but also paving the way for a paradigm shift in how we approach youth empowerment and justice reform nationwide.
